Early Equipment Management (EEM)

The philosophy of Early Equipment Management (EEM) is to build in high efficiency equipment operations from the design stage. Making changes post equipment installation typically costs 10 times more than engineering them into the design phase.

Original equipment manufacturers lack the experience of running equipment in full production for years in the way your team does — and so by involving operators, engineers as well as the equipment suppliers in the design process, equipment is designed to be easy to operate and maintain.  This allows it to be delivered to site in a condition that is at least equal to the customers AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (professional maintenance) standards.

Examples of successes with EEM have seen over 400 design changes made at no increased cost to the asset, and the plant started up ahead of schedule — a savings of $4.6M compared to historical start up performance.
